We have developed a unique solution for prevention of check engine light when running high flow sports catalysts. Traditional lambda extenders are these days not sufficient to prevent check engine light with later models of cars. External lambda cats are heavy and often ineffective, since they do not reach an adequate operating temperature as they are cooled by ambient air outside the exhaust. In order to reach operating temperature, we designed an innovative lambda boss, that has a cavity to place a microcatlyst substrate, that sits inside the exhaust, allowing it to reach an optimum operating temperature. This allows the catalyst to operate effectively, and prevent CEL on all 100 cell and 200 cell catalyst applications.
The catalyst is retained with an e-clip, and can be removed and replaced once the cat has deteriorated due to age.
